A members-only home people are happy to join, use and renew.
Membership platform development for the moment your paid community outgrows spreadsheets, manual invoices and shared passwords. We plan the tiers, build sign-up, billing and members-only areas in-house, and one account lead explains each decision in plain words.

COMMON PROBLEMS WE FIX
Membership platform problems owners raise, and how we solve them
Running paid memberships by hand wears people down. These are the worries we hear about it, each paired with the work we do and what it changes.
01
“I spend every month chasing failed card payments by email.”
WHAT WE DOWe connect a payment gateway that retries failed charges, sends card-update reminders automatically and pauses access only after a grace period you choose, with every attempt logged in the admin.WHAT CHANGESRenewals look after themselves, and you only step in when a member actually needs a person.
02
“Our members-only content is one shared password away from being public.”
WHAT WE DOEach member gets their own login, and content is locked by tier at the page and file level, so downloads, videos and posts open only for accounts with an active plan.WHAT CHANGESYou can share valuable material knowing who is viewing it and that lapsed accounts are shut out.
03
“People join, look around once, and we never see them again.”
WHAT WE DOWe design a first-week path: a welcome page, a short profile set-up, a nudge toward the most useful content and an introduction to the community area, each step tracked so drop-off shows.WHAT CHANGESNew members have a reason to come back, and you can see where interest fades.
04
“I can't tell who is active, who is lapsing or who might upgrade.”
WHAT WE DOThe admin dashboard lists members by plan, renewal date, last login and content viewed, with filters and exports, and member data can sync to your CRM or email platform.WHAT CHANGESDecisions about pricing, content and outreach rest on what members do, not on guesswork.
WHY IT MATTERS
Recurring members need a home, not a workaround
Many memberships start small: a payment link, a private group and a spreadsheet of who paid. That works until renewals slip, people share logins and you spend evenings matching payments to names. A membership platform puts joining, paying, access and community in one place under your own brand, so the experience members pay for matches the value you put into it.
The build can be an established platform configured with care or custom software, depending on how unusual your rules are. Either way we start with the member journey: how someone finds you, chooses a tier, pays, gets in and decides to renew. Billing, content access, directories and reporting are then built around that path, and tested end to end with sample accounts before launch.
SIGNS YOU NEED THIS
Payments and access are tracked in separate spreadsheets
Members share logins to reach paid content
Renewals depend on someone remembering to send reminders
BENEFITS
What a membership platform gives your organization
What changes for your business once it’s done properly.
✓01
Steadier recurring income
Monthly or annual plans renew on schedule, so income arrives in a steadier rhythm and planning the year ahead involves less guesswork.
✓02
Less admin per member
Sign-ups, receipts, renewals and access changes run without someone copying details between spreadsheets, inboxes and payment screens.
✓03
Content that stays exclusive
Tier-based access means paying members get what they signed up for, and what you charge for is not passed around freely.
✓04
A community you own
Members gather on your platform under your brand and rules, rather than on a social network that can change its features or reach without warning.

It depends on how much is custom and how much uses an existing platform. A configured platform with standard tiers and gated content costs far less than custom software with unusual billing rules, a directory and integrations. The free audit comes first, then a proposal that sets out the scope and price, so you know the figure before any work starts.
Use an established plugin or platform when your tiers, billing and content rules are fairly standard, and go custom when they are not. Plugins are quicker to launch and usually cost less up front. Custom software makes sense for unusual pricing, complex roles, approval steps or deep links into other systems. We set out both options with the trade-offs before you commit.
Usually, yes, though card details need care. Member names, emails, tiers and history can be imported, and members are invited to set a new password. Saved cards normally stay with the payment processor, so where the processor allows it we keep the same account rather than asking everyone to re-enter payment details. We test the move with a small group first.
A membership platform sells ongoing access to many people, while a client portal serves people you already work with. Memberships centre on tiers, recurring billing, gated content and community. Portals centre on documents, requests, project status and accounts set up by your team. Some organizations need both, and the plan can cover where one ends and the other begins.
