COMMON PROBLEMS WE FIX
Shopify store problems that cost sales, and our fixes
Many Shopify frustrations come from apps, data or theme code piling up over time. Each card shows a common worry, the work behind the fix and what it changes.
01
“We pay for app after app, and the store keeps getting slower.”
WHAT WE DOWe audit every installed app, remove the ones that overlap or leave old code behind, replace heavy ones with theme features or a small custom app, and check script loading on key templates.WHAT CHANGESYou pay only for apps that earn their place, and you know what each one does.
02
“Our product listings are a mess of duplicate variants and missing details.”
WHAT WE DOWe restructure products, variants and options, add metafields for specifications and care details, set up automated collections, and build a repeatable import template so new products arrive complete.WHAT CHANGESAdding or editing a product is orderly, and shoppers find the details they need.
03
“Shoppers fill their carts, then leave before paying.”
WHAT WE DOWe review the cart and checkout on phones, simplify shipping choices, show costs earlier, offer express options such as Shop Pay and digital wallets, and track each step to see where people stop.WHAT CHANGESYou see exactly where buyers hesitate, rather than guessing at the cause.
04
“Orders, stock and accounting live in separate systems we update by hand.”
WHAT WE DOWe connect Shopify to your inventory, accounting, ERP or CRM through existing connectors or a custom app, mapping fields carefully and testing orders, refunds and stock changes before anything goes live.WHAT CHANGESStaff stop retyping orders, and stock counts agree across your systems.
WHY IT MATTERS
A Shopify store is only as good as its set-up
Shopify takes care of hosting, payments and security patches, which is why so many brands start there. What it cannot do is decide how your products are organized, which apps you install or how your theme is coded. Those choices pile up. A store can end up slow, cluttered with subscriptions and hard to update, even though the platform underneath is solid.
Our Shopify work focuses on those choices. We build themes on Shopify's section system so your team can rearrange pages safely, structure product data so filters and shopping feeds stay accurate, and connect the store to stock, accounting and marketing tools. Because design, development and campaigns sit with one in-house team, the store and the ads that send people to it are planned together.
SIGNS YOU NEED THIS
Your app bill keeps growing month after month
Product variants and details are inconsistent across the catalogue
Staff copy orders into other systems by hand
BENEFITS
What thoughtful Shopify development changes for your store
What changes for your business once it’s done properly.
✓01
A store you control
Theme sections and settings let your team change banners, collections and pages without editing code or waiting in a developer's queue.
✓02
Fewer apps, lower fees
Replacing overlapping apps with theme features or one purpose-built app trims monthly subscriptions and removes scripts that slow pages down.
✓03
Product data that works harder
Clean variants, metafields and collections make filtering accurate, feed shopping channels with correct details and save time whenever products change.
✓04
Connected back office
Orders, stock and customer records flow between Shopify and the systems you already use, so fewer mistakes creep in through manual copying.

Choose Shopify if you want hosting, security and checkout handled for you, and WooCommerce if you need full control over code and data. Shopify is simpler to run but charges subscription and app fees and limits some checkout changes. WooCommerce is flexible but needs hosting, updates and more upkeep. We compare both against your catalogue, team and budget before recommending one.
It depends on the theme work, the size of the catalogue and the integrations, so we set a timeline after discovery rather than guessing. A store on a customized existing theme moves faster than a fully custom theme with a custom app and an ERP link. Product data clean-up is often the slowest part, so we start on it early.
Yes, products, customers and order history can usually be moved to Shopify with the right import tools. We map each field, rebuild collections, recreate redirects from your old product and category addresses, and test a full import before switching domains. Customer passwords cannot be carried across, so we plan a friendly email inviting shoppers to activate their new accounts.
A well-chosen ready-made theme suits many new stores, and a custom theme makes sense when your brand, catalogue or buying journey does not fit one. Ready-made themes cost less and launch sooner. Custom themes give you sections built for your products, lighter code and layouts competitors are not using. Customizing the key templates of a ready-made theme is a sensible middle path.
